The section elements aren't always good for this kind of ad-hoc grouping 
as they all require a title, and simplesects must be terminal.

You're right, there's often a way to work around it. But sometimes there 
are edge cases, e.g. when you need to transclude two paragraphs and an 
admonition at the start of a topic. As you and Fekete have mentioned it, 
maybe I'll raise a feature request when I have a moment.
