I think, HTML and plain-text as output aren't a contradiction. If you need both, you can still use DocBook as main source. If you need HTML, use whatever workflow you normally use. But when you need plain-text, transform it to simple HTML and dump it as text with w3m. That text can be used as your "announcement mail". ;) If you want to optimize the text output, you can set some parameters for the XSLT stylesheets which doesn't make any sense for text output. -- Gruß/Regards, Thomas Schraitle
