I agree that by having some of the workflow scenarios separated into a different profile (BTW, such a profile should be a general one and not dedicated to PDF files. I would name it "Simple Document Signing Profile" ) we are potentially dealing with a much leaner interface that will not include any information about the configuration of the displayed components and their content.
In such a profile probably only the document itself and a signature field identification will be sufficient to perform the digital signature operation by the DSS Service. Also, such a profile can be used for cases that documents support invisible signatures.

Maybe it is something we should discuss in the committee.

Thanks for posting the profile !

I would suggest to separate the operation 'Digital Signature operations 
as part of a workflow' into an own profile, that may be as base for the 
Visual Signature Profile. Dtmo the 'workflow signature' working on a 
preexisting, empty signature needs a much more leaner interface, could 
be implemented much more easily and may have a much broader range of 
usage. What do you think about putting in into profile 'Simple PDF 
signing profile' ?
