Nick Pope raised the difference of Time Stamping Vs Time Marking.
Discussions followed.

Time stamping : Act of asserting time, issuing signed timestamp et al
Time marking : Time stamping with data artifact

Use cases and requirements:

The use case committee is doing Ok on use cases, nothing ha
happened on the requirements

Action : Use case committee close out use case document and send to list
by March 6th

Use case discussion during the March 10th call.

Requirements also part of the use case subcommittee's responsibility.
Anybody who wants to participate in the use case/requirements committee
are welcome.

UPU use cases :

Steve Gray of the Universal Postal Union discussed the use cases.

Q: The submitted docs contain interfaces. Are there any newer
specifications with more details ?
Steve : Have one more formal document. Waiting for the publication as
standards. Estimates around 2 weeks.

Q: Any IP claims ?
Steve : Already in the e-mail.

Action : UPU to send IPR claims as per OASIS requirement

W3C Note of XAdES:

Juan Carlos/Nick Pope / Krishna Sankar discussed the acceptance of XAdES
as W3C note. At present it is a W3C note. It is possible that the XML
Signature wg might take a look at it. We do not see a new W3C wg on
this.

A side discussion followed on whether DSS's focus is on protocols or on
format. The general consensus was that the line is fuzzy and getting
fuzzier. Also the task of protocol definition would also influence and
be influenced by the format.

Meeting adjourned at 9:41
