Subject: RE: [ebcore] Looking for an ebXML news junkie
Carol, can you attend tomorrow? Sorry about late notice. Kathryn, Should I send out my phone for the call in? -----Original Message----- From: Breininger, Kathryn R [mailto:kathryn.r.breininger@boeing.com] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 4:05 PM To: Moberg Dale; Carol Geyer; ebcore@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: RE: [ebcore] Looking for an ebXML news junkie Our calendar on the ebCORE home page has our meeting schedule, and shows a meeting for tomorrow. Would you rather have Carol attend the next scheduled meeting on June 13th? I have a conflict this time and would like to know if you would be willing to run the meeting? Kathryn Breininger Manager, Release & Delivery Services CIMS - Center for Information Management Services MC 62-LC 425-965-0242 desk 425-512-4281 cell 425-237-4582 fax -----Original Message----- From: Carol Geyer [mailto:carol.geyer@oasis-open.org] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 1:20 PM To: ebcore@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: RE: [ebcore] Looking for an ebXML news junkie I'm happy to discuss ebXML XML.org on the next TC call. BPEL XML.org rotates its News editor, the site has three people who each oversee News for a month. BPEL XML.org also has a volunteer who hosts the BPEL4People Forum. The person is responsible for keeping discussions moving, initiating topics if things get quiet, making sure questions are answered (the forum host doesn't answer all the questions, he/she asks others on the TCs to respond when necessary). The host subscribes to the Forum via RSS or email, so he/she gets notified whenever a new question is posted. It would be great to have one or more hosts for ebXML Forum(s) as well. I'm happy to provide more details on the next call. Thanks, Carol -----Original Message----- From: Moberg Dale [mailto:dmoberg@axway.com] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 11:58 AM To: Carol Geyer; ebcore@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: RE: [ebcore] Looking for an ebXML news junkie Maybe we can make this a rotating "opportunity"? Could we add it to the agenda for ebCore discussion? Also, for other issues: I am hoping to prepare transitional materials and proposals for both ebBP and CPPA during the next few months. For ebBP, the main transitional document will be the deferred issue list for NG ebBP. The alignment with other standards that have emerged or are emerging are also of importance. Would TC members suggest which standards need alignment and perhaps what form the alignment would take? We do have a number of projects underway both in academia, in research groups, and in SDOs that will reference ebBP 2.0 in various ways. How should these contacts be maintained and encouraged? The CPPA editing efforts are paused, but I hope to revive them shortly. Dale Moberg -----Original Message----- From: Carol Geyer [mailto:carol.geyer@oasis-open.org] Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 8:50 AM To: ebcore@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [ebcore] Looking for an ebXML news junkie I'm trying to find a volunteer who would be willing to spend approximately five minutes a day (or less) to maintain the ebXML XML.org news page (http://ebxml.xml.org/news). Here's what's involved: 1. Sign up to receive a daily Google News alert for "ebXML". You'll get maximum one email a day (most days, not even that) containing links to articles online. 2. Review articles and identify any that are worth linking to from ebXML XML.org (this usually ends up being one or two articles a week, some weeks there are none). 3. Create a News entry for each worthy article using the form at http://ebxml.xml.org/node/add/news If you're interested, please let me know, and I'll provide full instructions. This is a great way to contribute to ebXML XML.org, stay on top of ebXML-related news, and receive recognition as a major contributor to the site--all for less than 30 minutes a week.
