Subject: Re: [ebxml-bp] jBPM - java business process management

Dale,

Now you mention that - another thought occurs.

In the CAM spec' we're using the notion of Levels, 1 thru 3.
Where a Level 1 implementation is sparse, Level 2 includes
registry, Level 3 all functionality.

If we applied the same approach to BPSS - you could have
jBPM stuff in level 1, UML 1.5 in level 2, and then full BPSS
level 3. This of course is designed to help implementers
build solutions more easily.

What we did for the CAM spec' is produce a matrix of
levels to sections of the specification as a guide.

Thanks, DW

Anders and David,

I think that our refactoring the BPSS syntax to better align with UML
Activity diagrams (circa 1.5) will also help implementers very easily
connect with jBPM.

Anders,

This stuff is gold - very nice site.

My mind is immediately thinking that either a BPSS -> jBPM xslt
converter, or enhancing the jBPM implementation to handle BPSS is a
no-brainer win-win-win...

You are right - essentially jBPM is a subset of BPSS.
