Are you asking what is the difference between a receipt and response???  In lieu of outlining the use cases that require a positive reciept as opposed to a positive response, but a positive receipt means the partner has received the request and is taking action (and will give a response if specified), while the positive response means the partner has made a successful action on the request.

 

I can make business decisions based upon either...
