Subject: RE: [ebxml-bp] Schema & Namespace of business signals

In 2.0, the signal types are defined within the various specialized BTs
that use them, such as RequestConfirm or CommercialTransaction. However,
the designer is permitted to reference a Signal by using
@ignalDefinitionRef.

Within the referenced bp:Signal elements, there are specification
elements that serve to indicate just what signals are used. So RN
signals could be used, older uncefact signals could be used, or new
to-be-defined BP 2.0 signals could be used.

We have not defined the 2.0 signals. Probably they would be a namespace
away from the uncefact signals (?) The TC needs to discuss how this
works IMO.

But you are correct that we need to do some tasks to help developers.

1. We could create a standard package that can be xincluded in BPSS
instances.

2. We would need to define the schemas for the signals with an Oasis
namespace, and reference these schema documents in the package.

Take a look at the attributes in the Specification to see how the
schemas for the signals would be referred to. The standard signal
package would contain bp:Signal elements with a Specification child that
provided the signal information (URI of targetNamespace, a URL for
location, etc)

Subject: [ebxml-bp] Schema & Namespace of business signals

 Hello all,

I am wondering what happened to the schema definition (and hence the
namespace) of the bpss business signals (receipt ack and acceptance
ack)?
They are defined in the un/cefact 1.1 spec but I dont see them (yet) in
the
Oasis 2.0 schemas. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place?

Problem is the uncefact 1.1 spec puts them in a www.untmg.org namespace
that
does nto seem to exist anymore. The 2.0 spec does not yet define them.
So
I am stuck for something to actually deploy...
