Your comment seems to me to be well-taken. Joins are not strictly speaking required. So it has to be that your reading

is the correct statement.

 

I will wait for comments from others in the TC, but it seems worth adding as a potential editorial clarification needed.

XOR Fork and Join

The ebBP standard states (on page 90):
An XOR Fork MUST be followed with a Join where waitForAll = false.
IMHO: This is misleading. Does it mean, that there must be a JOIN or does it mean, that if there is a JOIN then waitForAll has to be false.
I think that an XOR Fork without Join is meant to be allowed.
