Forget the word I used in a casual message, and read
the negotiation pattern in http://www.ebxml.org/specs/bpPATT.pdf 
The idea is described somewhat more precisely there,
but it could be any one of several ways to declare in
a response that another transaction is coming up
with a counter-offer.

Otherwise, I completely agree with Antoine.
