Subject: Sachs [ebxml-cppa-negot] 1/10/2003: Negot CPPA Document Re-Review onComments
Thanks, Marty. Good answers. As for the remaining actions: 1. Section 8.2 The response to a offer or counter offer is always synchronous. You can indicate that the ebMS v2.0 references the conditions relative to synchronous HTTP connections. Section B (Specifically now B.2.4 and B.2.5) reference this. If you need the specific details, please let me know. My suggestion was to indicate the reference back to the ebMS specification for conditions related to synchronous HTTP connections. I reviewed the ebMS v2.0 C .pdf. 2. Jean's updates to the .xsd look great - grand job Jean! (error included - good). On others... Open - Explicit consideration of an automated 'Reject' (Jean's section 1.3) - Future item? Open - Uncertain about reference to add/delete/update as I don't see it in updated section (was in Section 12.7 under Assumptions). All other items appear to be resolved, Marty, with the caveat on questions I sent to Brian Hayes. Thanks. If any of these comments need further discussion, please start a new comment set with just the open items. Any more iterations on this document will be confusing. I would like to continue working with the previously posted specification draft and futures documents until more people respond to them. I will post updated documents and, if necessary, a new issues document when it seems appropriate and no later than Jan. 31. Section 1.16 On maximum time, there is a timetoPerform that is on the requesting party at the business level that may be appropriate but it is the time to complete the collaboration. This could apply to the negotiation as well. See Brian Hayes. Section 2.5 This negotiation should not allow the change of agreement items that are dictated by the terms and conditions. This also applies to any signals associated with the transaction within a collaboration. See Brian Hayes. Section 4. There was a very interesting proposal from Bob Haugen and Tony Fletcher for multi-party collaboration, and may have an effect on the view of intermediaries. I've attached the brief reference to their white paper on TMG site. http://www.supplychainlinks.com/UNCEFACT-papers.htm See: tony.fletcher@choreology.com ____________________ Negotiation Document See attached. It seems many are still open, so can you verify the correct version was sent? Thanks and Merry Christmas. Please review those comments against the latest draft. Please re-submit any that are still open. Let me know if all are resolved. Attached two .gifs from BCP that I did not send earlier. Brian, You might note the question for Section 12.1.1 for using the term BPSS instance that CPPA-Negot refers to for an XML instance document. As well, check Section 13.15.2 for their open question on using an AcceptanceAck on a Response (Reference our previous BPSS/BCP/UMM discussions). Perhaps that may be appropriate, if the goal is to negotiate; however, I am not sure. I've attached the draft document for you to reference. Thanks.
