I've set up a new email list for the ebXML JC; let's use this from now
on.

We had a short call today but weren't able to make much progress, so I
thought that we could conduct some of this discussion via email. Here's
a number of issues I would like to see discussed in the next week, then
we can try again with another phone call Wednesday, 10 October, at 2:00
pm EDT.

1. Please send to this address a list of what other TCs (particularly
the other ebXML TCs at OASIS, and at ebTWG) that your TC has a liaison
relationship with. Also, what other TC relationships you can think of
that still need to be established.

2. Please select at least one additional member of your TC who can serve
as a member of this ebXML JC. The TC Process says that these additional
members need to be selected 30 days before the first JC meeting, which
is scheduled for 15 November.

3. There is need to maintain/update the ebXML Glossary. Should an OASIS
TC do this? alone or in cooperation with the ebTWG? Should we have a
single glossary for all of ebXML, or can it be split between content and
infrastructure?

4. There is need to create an ebXML Infrastructure Architecture. Should
the JC do this? or should we start a new TC for this purpose? [my
preference is to start a new TC; I would prefer to keep the JC as
lightweight as possible, and be for coordination only.] If a new TC,
could they do the Glossary also?

5. Are there any technical issues that need to be discussed at an
upcoming meeting of the ebXML Joint Mgmt Committee (the joint committee
of OASIS and CEFACT)? We're setting up the first meeting, and need to
know what should be on the agenda. e.g. any coordination issues with
ebTWG?

6. When should the other e-business TCs (BTP, UBL, SAML, XACML, etc.) be
invited to join this JC?

7. Will your TC be meeting at the Orlando conference in December? (This
will be the best opportunity to meet with other TCs under one roof.)
