Simon,

OK - and any way C++, C# and Java can all live together - so
agreed - components can be developed in whatever makes
most sense / expedient.

Perhaps we can make a laundry list of base components,
and start to see how that shops compared to what might
be available?  We an add a column to say what coding
language options there are available....
