Subject: 5.7.03 EMIF-SC MEETING NOTES


 
EMIF-SC held its second session this morning at 9:00 PDT. Notes follow:
 
In Attendance:

Agreements and Ratifications:
 
1. Based on its Charter focus, and adherance to the NIMS construct, the committee agreed to review the following specific baseline architectures for validation and possible adoption within and EM Infrastructure standard:
 
A. OASIS B-PEL
B. OASIS WSIA/WSRP 0.95
C. OASIS UDDI
D. DOJ Schema Structure
E. MICROSOFT Addressing standard
F. W3C RDF
 
Additionally, certain holistic industry web services/segment architectures were targeted for review. They are:  
 
A. IBM
B. Oracle
C. Microsoft
D. Prism
E. Health Management Standards
 
2. The committee re-affirmed that a rigorously practical focus will be maintained throughout evolution of its work product. Focus will be placed on identification and recommendation of standards that create the greatest common platform for robust, persistent interoperability, regardless of responder segment, originating industry or organization.    
 
3. The committee further re-affirmed that it will base its research, validations and subsequent recommendations on the elemental criteria established within HSPD-5.
 
Action Items:
 
Acceptance or revision of elemental matrix document - GROUP
 
Delivery at next meeting of recommendations on the baseline technologies.
