Document Description: At the August 30th, 2011 meeting of the Infrastructure Framework Subcommittee, the members discussed the following topics: 1. TOPIC: Should we reference the authoritative, web-accessible versions of the external schema that we import? (Answer: Yes, this will aid usability and adoption because the schema that people download should validate out of the box. We should include a README or other informative disclaimer to suggest that people should download the imported schema if they want validation to proceed quickly in production-oriented systems. We should review with Don and others best way of handling the imports to avoid any validation warnings about multiple definitions of the same element.) 2. TOPIC: What other changes were made to the most recent version of the DE? (Answer: Thanks to Lew's work on the simple features profile, we were able to use the schema and integrate the EDXLGeoLocation element from the OASIS Geography Simple Features Profile into the DE 2.0 schema.
