ARghh!

Is this the start of your cyclone/hurricane 
season? Is there a correlation between intensity 
of Australia's cyclone/hurricane season and the 
relative position of the warm tropical Pacific 
surface mass that is causing our El Niņo winter 
(and which I believe is already shifting west 
toward you?). It apparently helped suppress our 
2006 hurricane season.
