Subject: RE: [emergency-msg] RE: EDXL-RM for OASIS review / 60-day public review

I just took a quick glance and several problems immediately jumped out at me. First and foremost, our rules require that
all schemas be submitted as separate text files and that those separate files are the normative version. Secondly, the
filename used and the filename on the document cover are different, meaning a hypertext link won't work. Third, only the
doc version is shown rather than all three. Bonus points on getting the "latest version" right - this is apparently
confusing to some spec editors.

The checklist is in its first (beta) release; I'd appreciate any suggestions for improvements - I'm trying to not
overload the checklist with information provided elsewhere (templates, user guide, naming guidelines, etc.). Maybe I
should recommend that the editor not be responsible for performing the check and that instead it's handled by someone
else (for the same reasons that in a publication shop the proofreaders are different from the people actually making the
edits)?

I'll get back to you with a complete list of issues.
