Ladies and Gentlemen of the DHS-OIC Practitioner Steering Group (PSG) and
Standards Working Group (SWG):

This message is to request review of the draft EDXL-Situation Reporting
(SitRep) Requirements and Messaging Specification document. We request that
your comments be provided in the comments spreadsheet, and returned to
edxlswg@evotecinc.com <mailto:edxlswg@ecotecinc.com> no later than Monday,
January 26, 2009. Both documents are contained in the attached WinZip file.

The document is sizeable - we recommend you focus on the Requirements and
message models, and use the data dictionary as a reference to review or
offer definitions. The purpose of your review is to help ensure that these
requirements fully represent the needs driven from the practitioner
standards development & use case processes. Once comments are addressed to
the satisfaction of the PSG, a package will be prepared for submission to
the standards development organization OASIS, requesting work begins on a
formal EDXL messaging standard for Situation Reporting.

Please feel free to forward this request to other members of the SWG where
email addresses may have changed. Specific questions in the meantime may
be addressed to Tim Grapes at the contact information below, and we thank
you for your support.
