Document Description:
Minutes for the Reference Information Model Subcommittee for April 22,
2010. At today's meeting, the members continued their discussion to
determine what are the appropriate core organizational information
components of the Customer Information Quality (CIQ) xPIL schema needed for
use in EDXL standards and for inclusion in a CIQ subschema. Specifically,
the members finished reviewing the Addresses portion of the xPIL schema.
The members also touched upon other issues, noted in the list of Topics
below, such as Use of UN Location Codes (LOCODES), the distinction between
Locations versus Addresses, and the potential need to specify the Naming
Scheme used. The members were impressed with the thought and care that
went into the development of the CIQ xPIL schema and appreciate the CIQ
committees efforts in this regard. The CIQ work is a wonderful foundation
for the RIM to use in the development of its subschema.
