Subject: FW: New Terms Request
Attached are the LOINC codes that we requested for use in the HL72.7.1/EDXL-TEP 1.1 transform. These are TRIAL vs. ACTIVE (see message below) so that we have the opportunity to review them, but we can implement
them in our transform while they are in the TRIAL status. Patti Patti Iles Aymond, PhD 8710 Jefferson Highway From: Deckard, Jamalynne [mailto:jkdeckar@regenstrief.org]
Hi Patti, Your submitted request has been completed. Please review the attached Completed files – a pdf report and spreadsheet – containing the new terms. The terms currently have a status of TRIAL (vs. ACTIVE) in the LOINC database since they were created shortly before the database was frozen for the official December release, and I didn’t have time to send them
back to you to review until now. A TRIAL status allows us to review and make modification if necessary – however the meaning of the terms will remain the same and so they can be implemented. Prior to the June release, we can change the status from TRIAL
to ACTIVE once the terms have been reviewed. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! Jami ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jamalynne Deckard, MS

Thanks for the update Jami. Patti Patti Iles Aymond, PhD 8710 Jefferson Highway From: Deckard, Jamalynne [mailto:jkdeckar@regenstrief.org]
Hi Patti, Our goal is to have your terms included in the next official release of the LOINC database (December). I am not certain when they will be processed prior to that timeframe, but we will send the terms as soon
as they are ready. We are currently processing a backlog of term requests, so apologies for the delay.

Katy, Members of the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee are meeting this week with the HL7 Public Health and Emergency Response Working Group to finalize the mapping between our two standards. The new terms
requested in this submission are needed for that mapping. Can you give me an estimated timeframe that we can expect to have the new terms added to the LOINC table? Many thanks, Patti Patti Iles Aymond, PhD 8710 Jefferson Highway From: Holck, Catherine [mailto:cholck@regenstrief.org]
Hello Patti, Thank you for the submission. We will probably have requests/questions when we begin processing.
