Subject: RE: [emergency] Circle and Polygon
Len, I cannot. Gary Ham has received complaints from DMIS users that the messages that we post that contain large, complex polygons have caused throughput problems. Gary, can you provide specifics? Examples? Message size has multiple solutions. len From: Aymond, Patti [mailto:Patti.Aymond@ieminc.com] With the size and complexity of the polygons that represent jurisdictional boundaries, I fear that the GML polygon representation would become prohibitively large. Some applications are already having problems ingesting the large messages containing the simplified version for complex polygons.
