Subject: RE: GIS SC Teleconference tomorrow

Just a reminder that there will be a GIS SC conference call tomorrow (April
25th). Please try to attend.

The AGENDA will be to begin the dialogue concerning change requests for both
CAP and EDXL to enhance the ability to deal with things geospatial without
breaking backwards compatibility. There have many discussions and email
threads on this topic. Time to actually make some formal proposals. In terms
of preparation, please check out www.georss.org (geospatially encoded
objects for RSS feeds) as an example of a simple but very
extensible/flexible mechanism for serializations of geoenabled web feeds.

So why check it out? Well, a web feed is not so different from an alert!
People can subscribe to get feeds and/or alerts. And so forth.
