Subject: Re: [emergency] Last Call for Informal CAP-EAS Profile MeetingNext Tuesday
Rex, I share your eagerness to move ahead, but given the lack of transparency of the DHS "IPAWS profile" activity I'm not sure how we could have much meaningful discussion of EAS CAP issues at this point. Once DHS puts their stake in the ground we'll have a known point of departure. Until then I'm afraid we'd be spinning our wheels. - Art Art Botterell, Manager Community Warning System Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff 50 Glacier Drive Martinez, California 94553 (925) 313-9603 fax (925) 646-1120 >>> Rex Brooks <rexb@starbourne.com> 12/12/2008 9:28 AM >>> Hi Everyone, So far, only Jacob Westfall has replied with an interest in pursuing an informal meeting next Tuesday at Noon Eastern Time to get regrounded on the CAP-EAS Profile work. So, unless I hear from more folks on the list here, just Jacob and I are not enough prospective attendees to justify scheduling such a meeting. I think there are more than sufficient reasons to do this, but without a couple more participants, or some actual word from the proposers, I don't see any increase in interest to move before the holidays. That's going to add more time to the length of time it will take to regenerate the effort, and consequently, more time to get the work completed.
