Subject: Reminder: CAP-EAS Profile SCMeeting Scheduled
Hi Everyone, Here's the reminder I promised. The call info should be good provided we don't hear that the toll free line is available. Note: we shouldn't put that tool-free call info out on this relatively insecure list where the line info can be picked up by vandals or latter day visigoths. I have attached the initial comparisons documents I'm working on. There is a Word .doc file and an Excel .xls file which contain the same information. I wanted to be sure that we maintain transparency for those who might not have Excel or might not be accustomed to its use for purposes other than financial info. I have highlighted key info in bold and italic and critical info in red bold and italic. I paid particular attention to the Profile Definition, Description and/or Purpose information suggested by the Jacob and the multiple profile (EAS, CMAS, NOAA, etc) <info> block information suggested by Art. This is not intended to be comprehensive, yet. I will work through the entire documents, but I wanted to show what I have so far as a starting point. As you will see, I am just getting started, but I think it is useful to compare the Industry Group Recommendation and the FEM IPAWS Requirements side by side with some other reference resources, too. Note on the time: we have 55 minutes scheduled at 12:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. Central, 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. Mountain and 9:00 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. Pacific. CallInfo: Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008 Time: 9:00 AM Pacific Std Time Tel:: 1-218-936-4700 (Midwest) Code 983678 Suggested Agenda: 1. Record Attendance 2. Elect and/or ratify officers: co-chairs, secretary, editor(s) 3. Establish meeting schedule 4. Discuss how to move forward 5. Discuss specific items from Jacob and Art In all honesty, I doubt we'll much farther than halfway through this agenda, but we should make sure we get the housekeeping stuff out of the way before diving into specific issues. I will leave the rest of the agenda bashing to Sukumar and/or Elysa since I know Sukumar is available, and I suspect Elysa is, also.
