Subject: RE: Notes from March, 12 2010 geo-gis teleconfernece

Doug, Dave, Ron, Rex, Hans

Continued discussion on Canadian requirements for "point of interest". Perhaps may be able to leverage the work from the IETF and NENA and use the location object (LO) application schema. Need to investigate some more. Question of whether one or more such objects can be wrapped and encapsulated in EDXL-DE payload. We think that the answer yes. A question of how are people going to subscribe to an edxl message stream?

Requirement: Need to be able to transform into GeoRSS-Atom PUB feeds. Want to use the same event list as defined in CAP.

Carl will send more information on PIDF-LO etc to the group.

Need to determine if we can leverage existing standards work.

This group needs to make a recommendation perhaps to take PIDF-LO to the TC and ask that it be added to the where clause. Use the next two weeks to review the documents in preparation for the next call.

Cheers
