Subject: Let's look at the OpenADR Base Interruptible Program (BIP)
To continue the actors discussion, I encourage everyone to get more familiar with the OpenADR BIP. I have uploaded the OpenADR UML for this at the following link: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/energyinterop/document.php? document_id=34212 We should understand both the OpenADR use cases and roles and how they compare/contrast/relate with the NIST use cases and roles. The OpenADR use cases are show in the diagram. Here are some of the related NIST use cases: "4.4.2.1 Direct Load Control" "4.4.2.3 Customer Reduces Their Usage in Response to Pricing or Voluntary Load Reduction Events" "4.4.2.4 External Clients Use the AMI to Interact With Devices at Customer Site" "4.4.2.5 Customer Uses an Energy Management System (EMS)" "4.4.2.8 Customer Uses Smart Appliances" ...these use cases are from: http://collaborate.nist.gov/twiki-sggrid/pub/_SmartGridInterimRoadmap/In terimRoadmapFinal/Report_to_NISTlAugust10.pdf Regards, Dave David Wilson Enterprise Solutions Portfolio Manager Trane Commercial Systems Ingersoll Rand Office: +1.651.407.4168 Mobile: +1.612.741.2759 Email: davidcwilson@trane.com www.trane.com The information contained in this message is privileged and intended only for the recipients named.
