Excellent questions, Edgardo, so I am forwarding the answer to all… On the OASIS EnergyInterop site, there is a document section http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/energyinterop/documents.php It lists several folders, one of which is the Standards folder. This folder only lists the 5 submissions, but you can see more by clicking on the “show more” button on the right. Each issue in Jira shows a “refers to” issue. In this case, they refer to WD12 (working draft 12) of Committee Spec 1. It has been our practice, to keep multiple revisions of each document under the single header. If you click on the link, you get the most recent revision. So under each draft, when uploading, we put 1) Last draft with changes (doc) 2) Clean draft (1 with changes accepted) 3) PDF with line numbers When you click on the link, you get #3. We always send out a PDF with line numbers, because word will repaginate based upon the capabilities of each users printer, which makes commenting a mess. Bill edited wd12, and was more enthusiastic than I am, and so produced more documents than the three. You can inspect all revisions by clicking on “Details” on the right for each document. Unless you want to inspect changes, or want to grab a section and edit it, though, you usually need to only select the “current” rev – which is that line-numbered PDF. tc "If something is not worth doing, it`s not worth doing well" - Peter Drucker

So for instance, if I look at issue 24 which we discussed, how do I know where to go look? It says lines 400-404, but where is the document? Perhaps it is my unfamiliarity with how the OASIS website works, but I looked in Documents and I could not find the mapping in any way. I’ll share your comments internal with the IRC folk just in case, but I wonder if this is somewhere already where folks can go “teach” themselves or if we need a brief communication for a newbie like me. Perhaps we can include more details in the meeting invitations? Thanks, e |
