Subject: Re: Proposed URI classes

While XML Schemas now are referred to using PIs, it does seem a bit silly to use one formalism for DTDs and another for Schemas, just because of historical limitations in the DOCTYPE. I would be nice to be able to refer to a DTD, an XML Schema, a RELAX schema, and Schematron schemas (all of which may refer to the one document). I bet some users could find a good reason to resolve to a database schema matching their XML format. I expect some of these entities to be less widely used than stylesheets, of course, but no less important to particular groups. Please do have keywords for the most commonly used items. Please also have a clear extension mechanism. Cheers, Tony. ======== Anthony B.
