I should add, I wasn't originally meaning to suggest that the choice should be
between the all approach and the none approach exclusively.  Rather, I wondered
just what would guide us in deciding which kinds of matching to support, and
which kinds not to support.  I can see that Lauren's use case for suffix
matching would be repeated often enough to make it useful.

Given that regex matching sounds like too much, the next intermediate case is
substring matching.  Might that be worthwhile?
