Completion of OASIS EPS TC; other supply chain activities

EPS TC members and observers:

     This confirms that the OASIS Electronic Procurement Standardization 
Technical Committee has completed its work and is now closed.  OASIS rules 
permit the closure of technical committee that falls below certain activity 
indicators. [1]

     While the work in this committee has ceased, it has conducted some 
useful analysis of issues raised in its charter, and helped us to scope the 
probable needs for future work.   Contributions to this e-Procurement work 
appear significantly to have influenced several other e-commerce and XML 
projects.  We thank the members and leadership of the TC for their 
contributions and dedication to this effort.

     OASIS work on supply chain and transactional commerce activity 
continues in a number of current projects, including the OASIS Production, 
Planning & Scheduling (PPS) TC [2];   the OASIS Product Life Cycle Support 
(PLCS) TC [3];  and the OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) TC [4], as 
well as a number of other related and liaison projects.

     The work that the TC produced during its tenure can be found at its 
public web pages [5] and e-mail archive [6], which will remain permanently 
accessible per OASIS policy. [7]
