Subject: RE: [ffm] Groups - Comments by IB (ClickSoftware) to the business use cases and features document (FFMIIBusinessUseCasesFeatures20110627-D - IB comments, 6-Jul-11.docx) uploaded

Hello,

I have the following comments and recommended change text:

1) Section 6.2.1.7: first paragraph, last sentence: "...If so, the Assignee shall report the selected time to ERMS via FFMII."

[Thinh] I recommend to phrase this statement, because the requirement written against Assignee. Which it has little to do with FFMII. I proposed new text:

OLD TEXT: ...If so, the Assignee shall report the selected time to ERMS via FFMII."
NEW TEXT: "If so, the Assignee accepts the selected time Work Request to FMS.

2) Section 6.2.1.8: Title: 6.2.1.8: "Searching and selecting Work Requests from the field"

[Thinh] The "viewing" requirement portion from section 6.2.1.9 should be combine with this requirement in section 6.2.1.8.

OLD TEXT: Title of section 6.2.1.8: "Searching and selecting Work Requests from the field"

NEXT TEXT: Title of section 6.2.1.8: "Searching, viewing, and selecting Work Requests from the field"

OLD TEXT: FFMII interface shall provide means for FFMS to search for Work Requests matching specific criteria, such as "Work Requests which need to be performed in the next 30 days for assets near my location".

NEW TEXT: FFMII interface shall provide means for FFMS to search, view, and selecting for Work Requests matching specific criteria, such as "Work Requests which need to be performed in the next 30 days for assets near my location".

3) Section 6.2.1.9: Title and first sentence of the first paragraph.

[Thinh] The viewing requirement is combined into section 6.2.1.8. Thus, I recommend to remove the first sentence and rephrase the title.

OLD TEXT: 6.2.1.9	Viewing and requesting changes in Work Requests across teams

NEW TEXT: 6.2.1.9	Requesting changes in Work Requests across teams

OLD TEXT: FFMII interface shall provide means for FFMS request lists of Work Requests matching specific criteria, such as when a Team Leader requests all Work Requests assigned to Assignees in his or her team in the next 3 days. It shall also provide means for the FFMII user to request changes in the retrieved Work Requests, e.g. change the duration of an activity, or replace an Assignee with another Assignee on the same team. FFMII may optionally include the requester's credentials, to enable the FRMS implementation to determine whether the requester has the right authorization for such requests.

NEW TEXT: FFMII interface shall provide means for the FFMII user to request changes in the retrieved Work Requests, e.g. change the duration of an activity, or replace an Assignee with another Assignee on the same team. FFMII may optionally include the requester's credentials, to enable the FRMS implementation to determine whether the requester has the right authorization for such requests.

4) Section 6.2.2.7: second paragraph: "...FFMII shall enable specifying the way in which the documents should be attached to the Work Request. These ways shall include explicit attachment (so that the document is sent as part of the Work Request); and link attachment (so that the Work Request includes a link to a location where the document may be downloaded at the discretion of the FFMS implementation). Optionally, for each document FFMII shall enable specifying information such as file size, file description, file relevance and file type."

[Thinh] This first part of the second paragraph is too discrete. Perhaps, it may be better to rephrase as the following:

OLD TEXT: FFMII shall enable specifying the way in which the documents should be attached to the Work Request. These ways shall include explicit attachment (so that the document is sent as part of the Work Request); and link attachment (so that the Work Request includes a link to a location where the document may be downloaded at the discretion of the FFMS implementation). Optionally, for each document FFMII shall enable specifying information such as file size, file description, file relevance and file type.

NEW TEXT:FFMII shall support document attachment metadata.

Regards,
Thinh
