Hi,

 

Key Wrapping Specification will be used with the operation "Get", page no 74 in KMIP Spec cs-01.

As a general concept, wrapping is used while transfering key to protect the key data from getting exposed.

The statement says “This is a separate structure (see Table 10) that is defined for operations that provide the option to return wrapped keys.” meaning client requesting the server to give the generated/wrapped key back.

 

But the document states about the generation, registration and derivation of keys. Is there any operation which states about Wrapping of a Key?

 

Please guide me in this regard.
