Hi All,

Please find attached a second variant of use case 2 modeled with Reaction RuleML's KR dialect for temporal event/action reasoning with fluents. As mentioned several times in the Legal RuleML telecons, "efficacy" (and similar changeable properties) can be represented as situation fluent, which changes depending on the events which initate or terminate it.

Please find attached the draft slides for the Reaction RuleML formalization of the use case 2 example for the Legal RuleML tutorial.

Reaction RuleML uses scoped reasoning for life cycle management of (dynamic) knowledge. Scopes enable dynamic views on a global knowledge base using the descriptive and qualifying metadata of the knowledge.
