Subject: [legalxml-courtfiling] June 20-21 organizational meeting of OASISCourt Filing TC
Dear colleagues: I write to convey some very positive news and to provide details for the June 20-21organizational meeting of the Court Filing Technical Committee. First -- Mary McQueen, state court administrator for the state of Washington, former chair of the Conference of State Court Administrators, current chair of the National Consortium for State Court Automation Standards, and a member of the COSCA/NACM Joint Technology Committee, has agreed to become public sector co-chair of our Technical Committee. Moira Rowley will move at the organizational meeting that Mary replace her as co-chair so that one of our co-chairs will be a state court official. Mary has taken an active interest in our work; Washington state is using the Court Filing 1.1 specification; Mary will give us a strong voice within the Conference of State Court Administrators and the Joint Technology Committee. The first, organizational, meeting of the OASIS Legal XML member section Court Filing Technical Committee will take place on June 20 and 21. The meeting is technically a conference call. However, a large group of members (we are currently expecting around 20) will convene in Salt Lake City for the meeting. The conference call will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 pm MDT (5:00 to 7:00 pm EDT) on Thursday, June 20th, using a Lexis telephone bridge. The number is 937-865-6825 All features of the audio bridge are automated. You merely need to call in at the correct time. I will take a formal role call at 3:15 pm; persons present at that time will be recorded as attending the meeting. Members will be responsible for the costs of their telephone calls to the Lexis bridge. The bridge will accommodate eleven callers, in addition to the persons calling in from Salt Lake City. Given the current membership of the Technical Committee, and the large number of persons planning to be in Salt Lake City, that number of lines should suffice. The eleven lines will go to the first eleven persons to call the Lexus bridge. Multiple attendees from a single firm should gather on a single speaker phone to minimize their use of the available lines. The OASIS Legal XML Member Section steering committee will hold a conference call meeting on the same audio bridge from 5:00 to 6:00 pm MDT (7:00 to 8:00 pm EDT), following the Court Filing TC conference call. The meeting of TC members in Salt Lake City will be hosted by Jerome Battle of the Utah Administrative Office of the Courts and Toby Brown of the Utah Bar Association. The meeting will be held at: Utah Courts Offices Scott Matheson Courthouse 450 South State Street Salt Lake City, UT The face to face part of the meeting will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on June 20th and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on June 21st. The CMS/API subcommittee will meet the afternoon of June 19th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the same location. All actions of the Technical Committee will be taken only during the 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm telephone conference call on June 20th. We have blocked 25 courtside rooms for June 19, 20, 21 (checking out on June 21) at the Little America Hotel.
