Subject: FW: ECF 4.01 compliance statement

FYI.  As we look to define conformance testing for ECF, here is another data point from the Arizona Supreme Court.  This is a preliminary review by the Gary Graham of the court’s portion of an ECF 4.01 implementation.

Jim,

The AOC has completed its internal ECF 4.01 compliance review. The detailed results are attached.

After you have had an opportunity to review, then perhaps a telephonic meeting is in order.

Gary Graham

Jim,

Gary has actually produced a document for my review.  I’m the one holding things up at this time due to the new e-filing initiative we’re kicking off.  Give me until Friday to get with Gary so that we can get you the information you requested.

I have pitched the idea of renewing our TC membership.  I expect that we’ll do so by December.

Regards,

Jim

Jim,

I’m following up on some of my ECF-related action items.

-          When does Gary expect to provide a ECF compliance statement to the TC?

-          Do you expect the Supreme Court to be able to rejoin the TC before our face-to-face meeting in Las Vegas on December 9?

  Thanks,

Jim,

Thanks for your help with the compliance statement.

Regarding the cost of membership, I believe you are correct.  According to https://www.oasis-open.org/join/categories-dues, the AZ Supreme Court would be considered a “Local government agency” which starts at $1,100 per year.

Dee Schur, can you confirm?

Jim,

Gary would like some time to go over the conformance clauses in Section 7.  Will advise.  Thanks for reaching out.

BTW: Gary indicated that TC membership is about $1,100 per year.  Could you confirm, please?

Regards,

Jim

Subject: ECF 4.01 compliance statement

Jim,

I have a small favor to request.  You may be aware that the OASIS LegalXML Electronic Court Filing (ECF) Technical Committee is preparing to submit the ECF 4.01 specification for balloting as an OASIS standard.  Before any specification can be considered for OASIS standard, the TC must obtain at least 3 statements of compliance from implementers of the specification.  In the past all 3 statements were required from OASIS Members.  The OASIS Board recently adopted changes that allow some of the statements of compliance to come from organizations that are not OASIS members.

The TC has receive statements of compliance from Intresys and URL Integration and are requesting adding statements from a number of OASIS members and non-members.  Would the Arizona Supreme Court be willing  to provide a statement?  If so, please modify the template below as needed and email the statement to the TC’s public comment list at legalxml-courtfiling-comment@lists.oasis-open.org

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
