Hi Jim - Yes, there is. I will put the current request on hold and wait to hear from you. You just prepare the new errata doc, approve it and send me the link to the minutes with the approval. I will go with that approval and pick the link up from the motion and use that document instead.

Best,

/chet

Chet,

Gary pointed out correctly that now that UBL 2.1 is an OASIS standard, we should use that version.  The idea of the update in the errata was to clarify which version of UBL we reference but all of these dependencies on other standards are moving targets.

I expect, we need to
  1. Revoke the current PR request
  2. Update and approve the errata document as a new working draft, and
  3. Resubmit a PR request

Is there an easier way to handle this?

Gary,

When we drafted this section of the errata and updated the schemas in October, we used the latest version of UBL.  Now that UBL 2.1 is an OASIS standard, it makes sense to use that version.

Let me check with Chet on how we should proceed.

Jim,

I believe we still have an issue with UBL.

In the Errata document (ecf-v4_01-spec-errat01-wd02[1].doc), section 2.3 Inconsistent reference to the UBL, it shows three corrections to FeesCalculationResponseMessage.  Part of the correction is to replace one component of the schemaLocation path, revising it from “/cs-UBL-2.0/” to “/prd2-UBL-2.1/”.

I believe this is incorrect; the correct schemaLocation path component instead should be “/os-UBL-2.1/”.

You may recall that at the time ECF 4.01 was approved as an OASIS standard, UBL 2.1 was still a Committee Draft. UBL 2.1 did not become an OASIS standard until November 2013. It is the OASIS standard (os) version of UBL 2.1 that should be referenced.

The OASIS standard UBL 2.1 can be obtained from http://www.oasis-open.org/specs/index.php#ubl

This same correction also needs to be made to the PaymentMessage and the PaymentReceiptMessage.

Gary Graham
