Subject: RE: [legalxml-enotary] Withdrawal of pending requests
As I had previously noted, I have not been able to follow this thread in "real time" due to travel constraints. However I am delighted to read John's latest email and I look forward to reading the entire thread in detail as it sounds to be most educational. I look forward to Thursday's call. Mark Ladd Addison/One, LLC 262-498-0850 mark.ladd@addison-one.com -----Original Message----- From: John Messing [mailto:jmessing@law-on-line.com] Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2008 11:55 AM To: legalxml-enotary@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [legalxml-enotary] Withdrawal of pending requests I hereby withdraw all pending requests. After having been corrected regarding the technology of the pending deliverable, I think that the notary container offers the promise of simultaneous, co-existent use of otherwise incompatible encryption technologies by several notaries relating to a single or related set of transactions. As I understand it, the symmetric key profile also includes a novel approach that may allow for leveraging known and proven access control methods to the stored symmetric signature keys. While much still remains to be done, the approach has much to recommend it and nothing I can presently see to doubt it. On a personal note, I want to thank all involved in this effort for the patience and commitment shown. If I have caused consternation or upset to anyone, I sincerely apologize. I am grateful to Arshad for having proven me wrong about the technology issue, because in so doing he proved me right about my initial assessment of him, and the ultimate correctness of my recommendation of him to the group as consultant for this work. I would like to say that I have never been happier to have been proven wrong in my life, but with such a long and stellar record, it might not be entirely accurate... Best regards to all. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mail list, you must leave the OASIS TC that generates this mail.
