Subject: Re: [legalxml-enotary] Groups - ENML 1.0 Specification (DRAFT 1)(ZIP) (eNotary-DRAFT6.zip) uploaded
Thank you, Mark. I appreciate the feedback. I am, indeed, proud of this work. Its not perfect - depending on the reader's point-of-view - but it does address current business and legal requirements while being prepared to deal with tomorrows challenges. I look forward to next week's meeting and getting more feedback - good or bad, its all productive feedback - from the TC. I have already predicted that ENML may be the sleeper hit for OASIS in 2009. You can count on my support to make it so. While I have only had the opportunity to give this a quick review - it looks great so far. I look forward to discussing this on the next eNotary TC call. The ZIP file includes an OpenOffice (ODT) and a PDF version of the DRAFT specification documents. When modifying the ODT or PDF versions of the specification for comments, please save the file with your full-name in the file-name (and track changes if using OpenOffice) in the file so I can collate everybody's feedback. While we can discuss this document in the mid-November TC meeting, I would like to request that all feedback be given to me by the 1st of December, so that I can make required edits before Christmas and turn around the finished document for a TC vote to take the document to Public Review status. While the document appears huge (141-pages) most of it is filled with examples so that the specification does not come across as being too dry. While there is no requirement that the "Appendix C: ENML Security Implications" section be in this document, this was the security document I had intended to write anyway. I hope to have that ready in 2-weeks and will distribute it to the TC. At that time, the TC can decide if they would like that security document to stand on its own, or be part of the Specification. Happy reading! :-) Arshad -- Arshad Noor* The document named ENML 1.0 Specification (DRAFT 1) (ZIP) (eNotary-DRAFT6.zip) has been submitted by Arshad Noor* to the OASIS LegalXML eNotarization TC document repository. Document Description: ZIP file containing the eNotarization Markup Languages 1.0 (DRAFT1) Specification with the DRAFT6 version of the XML Schema Defintion file and sample XML instances conforming to this schema.
