Document Description: SEARCH SERVICE INTEROPERABILITY Governments at all levels worldwide are major producers and consumers of data and information. As the Internet becomes ever more essential to the dissemination of data and information resources held by governments, interoperability of information search mechanisms is a major issue. This document seeks to set down a recommended standard to achieve that interoperability goal. This draft is being published for the widest possible consultation. Please pass this request onto colleagues who may have an interest. All comments are welcomed by the Technical Committee, and the means of providing comments is set out in the document. The closing date for comments is 16 December 2003.
