Subject: OASIS seeks applicants for President/CEO

OASIS is pleased to have Patrick Gannon, a member of our Board of
Directors, serving as the interim President and CEO for the Consortium.
Looking to the future, the Board is now conducting an open search for a
permanent president/CEO, and we invite suggestions from OASIS members
for candidates capable of leading the Consortium through the challenges
ahead.

Reporting directly to the OASIS Board of Directors, the President/CEO
will manage the overall business, operational and coordination
activities of OASIS while working to develop and evolve the strategic
mission of the organization.

Responsibilities include:
·	Developing, updating and implementing the OASIS multi-year strategic
annual business plan, and once developed, presenting it along with the
budget to the OASIS Board for approval.
·	Developing strategies supporting the continued growth of OASIS
websites (XML.org and CoverPages.org).
·	Maintaining and expanding membership, as well as identifying
opportunities for new funding sources.
·	Managing the overall operations of OASIS including supervising the
efforts of all direct or contract staff and the corporate office.
·	Working with members and staff to provide an open foundation to
rapidly develop high quality specifications.
·	Ensuring that programs and services meet the members' needs and
maintaining high satisfaction among the organization's members.
·	Identifying and developing effective liaisons to coordinate with
standards and industry representatives on behalf of OASIS members and
the XML industry.
·	Acting as the primary spokesperson at major industry meetings and
press events, assuring that OASIS is well represented.
·	Working closely with the Board to further the goals of OASIS
worldwide.
