[OASIS members] Oracle's Arijit Sengupta Joins ebXML JCC

OASIS Members:

OASIS is pleased to announce that Arijit Sengupta of Oracle has 
accepted our invitation to serve as a Technical Representative 
on the UN/CEFACT OASIS Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on ebXML.

The ebXML JCC coordinates efforts to drive the adoption and
implementation of all the ebXML specifications. The committee hosts
joint technical meetings, such as the one to be held in Barcelona, 
20-24 May, as well as marketing events, like the Implementing ebXML 
Day at XML Europe on 23 May.

Arijit joins JCC members, Simon Nicholson of Sun Microsystems, Karl
Best, and myself on behalf of OASIS and Klaus-Dieter Naujok of IONA,
James Bryce Clark of McLure-Moynihan, Duane Nickull of XML Global, Brian
Hayes, and Ray Walker on behalf of UN/CEFACT. We are in the process of
selecting a fifth representative from OASIS, at which time the JCC will
be complete.

As the Sr. Product Manager for Oracle9i AS B2Bi, Arijit is involved in a
variety of standards activities related to ebXML. He is active in the
OASIS ebXML CPPA TC, ebXML IIC TC and UBL TC and in the UN/CEFACT ebTWG.
He also serves RosettaNet as the Interoperability Program Director and
the Electronics Industry Data Exchange (EIDX) Technology Subcommittee as
co-vice chair. He has participated in the Open Applications Group and
NIST Testbed efforts.

We are confident that Arijit's experience and perspective as a user of
ebXML will be a very valuable addition to the JCC, and we welcome his
contributions to advance the adoption of ebXML within related standards
efforts.
