OASIS Seats New Board of Directors and Forms Technical Advisory Board

OASIS announced the election of four members to its Board of
Directors. Edward Cobb of BEA Systems, Colin Evans of Intel, Patrick
Gannon of OASIS, and Laura Walker of the Federal Reserve System were
selected by the OASIS membership. The consortium also
announced the formation of the OASIS Technical Advisory Board.

UDDI @ OASIS

The XML Web Services One Conference in Boston will feature a 'UDDI @
OASIS' presentation on Tuesday, 27 August, 6:00 - 6:45 pm. In the first
public forum since the transition announcement, Patrick Gannon, OASIS
President and CEO, and Dr. Robert S. Sutor, IBM's Director of e-business
Standards Strategy, will provide insight into the future of UDDI within
OASIS and how you can get involved.

New OASIS Standard

The ebXML Messaging Service Specification V2.0 has been approved by the
OASIS membership as an OASIS Standard. Congratulations to the OASIS
ebXML Messaging TC, chaired by Ian Jones, for all their efforts.

OASIS TC Meetings

The first meeting of the new OASIS UDDI Specification Technical
Committee will be held via teleconference on 13 Sept. To participate as
a TC member at the first meeting, notify TC co-chairs, Tom Bellwood
(bellwood@us.ibm.com) and Luc Clement (lclement@microsoft.com), by 30
August.

Services, where Karl Best, Patrick Gannon, Kelvin Lawrence, Chris Kaler,
