OASIS News 7 October 2002 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments and activities for the XML interoperability consortium. --------------------------------------------------------- OASIS and LISA Collaborate on Global e-Business Survey A new survey to determine the impact of multi-lingual technologies on global e-business is the latest product of cooperation between two international organizations developing complementary standards for localization. OASIS, together with the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA), have produced a Global eBusiness Survey http://www.lisa.org/interact/2002/ebizsurvey.html designed to investigate the amount of activity and resources devoted to using or developing localization products. --------------------------------------------------------- SAML and ebXML CPPA Committee Specifications Call for Votes October 1 began the 30 day voting period for the SAML and ebXML CPPA Committee Specifications to become OASIS standards; each OASIS member organization will have a single vote on the ballot. Voting representatives from OASIS sponsors and contributors are encouraged to vote.
