Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments
and activities for the XML interoperability consortium.

OASIS and UN/CEFACT to Host ebXML Showcase in London

XML Europe 2003 will feature a special event, 5-6 May, to highlight the
growing use of ebXML and its role in Web services. The ebXML Showcase
will answer real-life questions on adopting standards for exchanging
business messages, establishing trading relationships, communicating
data in common terms and defining and registering business processes.
Attendees will also hear about the business benefits of managing
electronic commerce through ebXML from existing end users and software
suppliers. Keynote presentations from Paul Murphy of the European
Commission, Patrick Gannon of OASIS, and Ray Walker of the UN/CEFACT
Steering Group will be featured. The program will also include updates
from ebXML users in the telecommunications, shipping, publishing,
manufacturing, and e-commerce industries. Representatives of the United
Nations, Fujitsu, NIST, SeeBeyond, Sun Microsystems, and others will
present.

OASIS is now accepting nominations for the Technical Advisory Board.
This leadership position provides input to the Board of Directors and
Technical Committees.  The position requires the ability to render a
visionary view of the technical landscape, attendance at 2-3
face-to-face meetings annually (held at a major conferences),
bi-weekly teleconferences and the ability to devote 2-3 hours weekly
to the work of the TAB.

Review New XSLT Conformance Prototype Test Suite

The OASIS XSLT Conformance TC has published a Prototype Test Suite,
which includes 150 XSLT tests. The TC requests feedback regarding the
prototype's structure, content, and general usefulness for evaluating
XSLT processors.
