OASIS is celebrating a decade of accomplishments with an evening
reception at XML Europe in London on Monday, 5 May 2003 from 6:00PM -
9:00PM. The evening will feature presentations from industry visionaries
that have guided OASIS over the years. This memorable event is

Mark your calendars for XML Europe 2003

Patrick Gannon will keynote, OASIS and UN/CEFACT to host ebXML Showcase
on 5-6 May and the OASIS Tenth Anniversary Gala Celebration occurs on 5
May. XML Europe 2003 is a 'must attend' event for XML practitioners of
all kinds.

Review the UDDI v2 Specification under consideration to become an OASIS
standard

The OASIS UDDI Specification TC has submitted the Universal Description,
Discovery and Integration (UDDI) Committee Specification v2.0, which is
an approved Committee Specification, for review and consideration for
approval by OASIS members to become an OASIS Standard. A Call for Votes
will go out on 16 April, at which time voting reps  of each OASIS member
organization, will have until the end of the month to cast their ballots
on whether this Committee Specification should be approved as an OASIS
Standard.

OASIS e-Government TC WINS a SecurE-Biz Leadership Award

The SecurE-Biz Advisory Board presented the OASIS e-Government TC and
its Chair, John Borras (Assistant Director, UK Office of e-Envoy),
with a 2003 Leadership e-Business Transformation Team Award. These
awards recognize top IT leadership that have advanced governmental
e-Business Transformation; a cornerstone of the US government's
executive branch management agenda.

The OASIS Electronic Procurement Standardization (EPS) TC is being
formed

A Call for Participation has been issued for the OASIS EPS TC. The
purpose of the OASIS Electronic Procurement Standardization TC is to
guide the coordinated development of global e-procurement standards
and processes. This TC will develop requirements and a comprehensive
framework for electronic procurement standards, identify existing
and in-development standards within this framework, and coordinate
liaison activity with other groups developing these components,

The AVDL TC comes to OASIS

A Call for Participation has gone out for the  OASIS Application
Vulnerability Description Language (AVDL) TC. The AVDL TC is formed to
create an XML definition for exchange of information relating to security
vulnerabilities of applications exposed to networks.
