Make Plans to Attend the OASIS Member Reception, Monday, 5 May

Why is OASIS being called the 'go to' organization for standards
development? Find out at the annual OASIS Member Reception at XML Europe
in London. Learn about the latest accomplishments from OASIS management
and voice your perspective to members of the OASIS Board of Directors.
The reception begins at 6:00PM at the Hilton London Metropole. Members are
asked to RSVP--whether or not you are able to attend--at

OASIS forms WSBPEL TC

A Call for Participation has gone out for the OASIS Web Services
Business Process Execution Language TC. The work of the WSBPEL TC will
focus on specifying the common concepts for a business process execution
language which form the
necessary technical foundation for multiple usage patterns including
both the process interface descriptions required for business protocols
and executable process models.

Vote by Midnight ET 30 April 2003

This is a Call For Votes to approve the UDDI Committee Spec v2.0 as an
OASIS Standard. The voting representative from each OASIS member
organization should
submit the organization's vote by midnight ET 30 April 2003.
Voting will take place on the new OASIS collaborative tools.

Liberty Alliance Contributes Specs to OASIS for Consideration in SAML
2.0

Liberty Alliance has contributed version 1.1 federated network identity
specifications to OASIS for Consideration in SAML 2.0. The OASIS
Security Services TC requested Liberty’s contribution to permit possible
incorporation of Liberty version 1.1 specification features in future
versions of the OASIS Open Standard Security Assertion Markup Language
(SAML).

Seeking Core Components Submissions

On 7 May, the OASIS ebXML Registry TC will begin work
on core components serialization and is soliciting donated submissions
of freely available core component serialization work that may
contribute to the effort. Submissions will be accepted during the next
two weeks. Interested parties are invited to join the OASIS ebXML
Registry TC to help advance this valuable work.

The OASIS Technical Advisory Board (TAB) is selected

The new members of the OASIS TAB include:

The new members will be seated at the semi-annual TAB face-to-face
meeting in June, hosted by SAP.  They will join the TAB with

OASIS Open Standards 2003 call for papers--submission deadline May 18

OASIS Open Standards 2003 will occur on 1-3 October in Sydney,
Australia. OASIS Open Standards is seeking submissions for conference
sessions
focused on ebXML, Security (SAML, Liberty Alliance, PKI), localization,
LegalXML, e-Government standards and Web services.
