OASIS Board of Directors Elections now open

OASIS is proud to announce the opening of the 2003 Board of Directors
elections with a record number of candidates.

Members of OASIS have nominated 16 highly qualified candidates to fill
the 4 available seats on the Board.  The candidates represent the
evolving membership in OASIS, with greater representation from around
the globe and from the user/influencer communities.  OASIS has grown
dramatically in the last year, geographically, in scope and influence.
It is a pleasure to see a pool of qualified candidates that reflects
that growth.

Such a diverse group of qualified candidates deserves your thoughtful
consideration and your vote.  So please take the time necessary to
help determine the leaders of our consortium through your informed

In order to help you know the candidates, and to help them better know
the issues of importance to OASIS members, we are offering the
opportunity to post questions to all the candidates for their optional
response.  Send your questions to nominations@oasis-open.org . We will
be compiling and distilling questions to a representative sampling to
send to the candidates on behalf of the membership.  Questions will
only be accepted from members in good standing.  Posted questions not
be attributed to the submitting members, as they may a compilation of
questions submitted.   The questions and answers will be available for
review as we process them.

Sponsor and Contributor members are eligible to cast a ballot for 4
candidates until the close of balloting on 25 June 2003 (23:59,
11:59pm US EDT) through their voting representative, who has received
the ballot.  You may find your voting representative at
