Subject: 2006 OASIS Election Results

Members,

OASIS is pleased to announce the results of the 2006 elections for the Board
of Directors and Technical Advisory Board. Your Board and TAB continue to
evolve to reflect the growing diversity of our membership. The user, vendor,
consulting, and academic communities are all represented, with the support
of organizations based in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Paul Knight of Nortel was elected, Ed Cobb of BEA, Bob Glushko of University
of California, Berkeley, Frederick Hirsch of Nokia, and Jeff Mischkinsky of
Oracle were re-elected to the OASIS Board of Directors. Their two-year terms
begin 3 August 2006. They join existing directors whose seats expire in
July 2007-- Eduardo Gutentag of Sun Microsystems, John Jackson of GM, Chris
Kurt of Microsoft, Claus von Riegen of SAP and Michael Winters of IBM, as
well as Patrick Gannon, who has an appointed seat on the Board as President
and CEO of OASIS.

Abbie Barbir of Nortel, Bill Barnhill of Booz Allen Hamilton, and Andy Lee
of Changfeng Open Standards Platform Software Alliance were elected and
Jacques Durand of Fujitsu Limited, was re-elected to the OASIS Technical
Advisory Board. Their two-year terms begin 4 August 2006. They join
existing TAB members Martin Chapman of Oracle, Bill Cox (individual member),
Hal Lockhart of BEA Systems and Pete Wenzel of Sun Microsystems, whose seats
expire July 2007.

The Consortium would like to express our deepest appreciation to departing
Board member Mike DeNicola of Fujitsu Software for his service and guidance
over the past years, including his work as Treasurer. OASIS also recognizes
Mike Mahan, formerly of Nokia, Jishnu Mukerji of HP and Tim Stevens of
LexisNexis for their participation in the TAB and their contribution to its
growing service to the Consortium.

Finally, we offer our thanks to all members who participated in the 2006
election process--by nominating candidates, volunteering to serve on our
Boards, submitting questions for nominees, and casting their vote. OASIS
continues to be distinguished by its open election process and the quality
of its leadership.
