Closure of OASIS Web Services Resource Framework (WSRF) TC

To OASIS Members:

This is to notify you that the OASIS Web Services Resource Framework (WSRF) TC Technical Committee has completed its
work and is now closed. 

The WSRF TC standardized the Web Services Resource Framework v1.2, consisting of:
- WS-Resource v1.2
- WS-ResourceProperties v1.2
- WS-ResourceLifetime v1.2
- WS-ServiceGroup v1.2
- WS-BaseFaults v1.2

WSRF v1.2 describes how stateful resources can be represented and managed using WS-Addressing and other Web service
technologies; in particular, WSRF addresses the requirements of the Web Services for Distributed Management (WSDM) OASIS
Standard, the Grid community and other industry standards to expose and operate on fragments of a resource's state,
which is essential in resource-constrained or low-bandwidth environments. This standard is in wide use today and
provides a standardized, interoperable platform for resource-based Web services. 

The WSRF TC also produced the a WS-ResourceMetadataDescriptor commitee specification and two non-normative papers: 
- WSRF Primer, which discusses the background and motivation for WSRF 
- WSRF Application Notes, which provides guidance for implementors. 

With WSRF v1.2, the work of the WSRF TC is complete. 

We thank the members and leadership of the TC for their contributions and dedication to this effort. The work that the
TC produced during its tenure can be found at its public pages, which will remain accessible at
