Board Special Election Results

OASIS is pleased to announce the results of the 2010 Board Special Election.

Claus von Riegen has won the election.  He will join the board of directors
formally at their next teleconference meeting 29 April.  He will hold that
seat until July 2011.  The election results tabulation can be found at

OASIS would like to thank Eduardo Gutentag, whose resignation made the
Special election necessary.  An active OASIS member since 1996, he served on
the Board for 6 years, including 4 years as its Chairman. His reputation for
fairness, insight, and leadership is widely acknowledged and well deserved.
Although his guidance at the Board level will be missed, we look forward to
Eduardo's continued involvement in and support of OASIS Technical
Committees.

Finally, OASIS expresses its deepest appreciation to all the members who
participated in the election process.  We had two great candidates and many
members who took the time to evaluate the candidates and cast their vote.
Your participation in the open selection of our board is an important aspect
of OASIS that makes us unique and successful.
